To open your menu links in a new browser tab you can navigate to Appearance -> Menus in your WordPress dashboard.
Create your new custom menu item as normal and then click on Screen Options in the top right corner of your screen.
You’ll then be able to turn on the link target option where you can then see the options to select if your menu items open in a new tab.
